My Career
I spent my entire career, from age 19 to 55, in the aerospace industry, building a path I truly enjoyed and growing through opportunities I never could have imagined when I first started. My journey began as an Illustrator, which allowed me to combine creativity with technical precision. From there, I was promoted to Parts Lister in Technical Publications, and later moved into the Help Desk world, back in the days when we were actually writing the software ourselves to author in SGML. This is before HTML and XML.
As technology evolved, so did my career. I had the privilege of leading teams responsible for large-scale technical documentation environments and standards-based publishing systems. Looking back, I’m grateful for the many lessons, challenges, and amazing people I encountered along the way. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for structure, organization, and creating systems that truly work: skills that translate naturally into web design and development, where clarity, maintainability, and a great user experience matter.
At age 55, I retired from aerospace, closing one rewarding chapter and opening the door to exciting new adventures. The journey has been an incredible one, and I still love building, creating, and helping others bring ideas to life.
Photography
Photography became a wonderful and meaningful part of my life after retirement. What began as an amateur hobby gradually grew into a true passion, eventually leading me to earn the distinction of Master Photographer. While photography never quite paid the mortgage, it gave me something even more valuable: community, creativity, purpose, and countless unforgettable experiences.
I became deeply involved in my local photography club and was honored to serve as its president. One of the highlights was organizing the photography exhibits for our local area fair. Our group’s work was so well represented that we accounted for nearly 40% of all fair entries, something I remain incredibly proud of. In recognition of those efforts and my involvement in the community, I was honored as the 2015 Volunteer of the Year.

Image Gallery
The images shown here are a collection of my award-winning photography and represent some of the work I’m most proud of. They span several styles that I’ve come to love, including abstract photography, portrait work, and street photography. Each image captures something different: sometimes a feeling, sometimes a story, and sometimes a fleeting moment that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.
Photography has always been more than simply taking pictures for me. It became a way of seeing the world differently: finding beauty in unexpected places, connecting with people, and discovering stories hidden in everyday life. These images reflect that journey and the joy I found behind the camera.
The original images were created in a variety of aspect ratios and formats, depending on the subject and artistic vision at the time they were captured. For presentation purposes here, they have been displayed in a consistent 1:1 format to create a more unified and visually pleasing experience. While some cropping or adjustment may have been necessary, the goal was to showcase each image in a way that highlights its impact and allows the collection to be viewed cohesively.
Eli (My Dog)

Eli is my dog and one of my best companions. He just turned 13 years old, and I rescued him when he was about a year old. Back then, his name was Kevin, but that never quite fit him. I renamed him Eli,
His name is short for Ellipsis, the punctuation mark made up of three dots (…). The plural of ellipsis is ellipses, which seems fitting because he’s covered in dots.
Eli has brought so much joy and personality into my life over the years. One of my favorite photos of him was even selected for 365 Dogs of the Year, which felt like such a fun and special honor. He’s been more than a pet. He’s been family, a loyal friend, and a wonderful part of my journey.
