My Design Style
My design style tends to be clean, professional, and corporate in appearance. I focus on creating logos that are simple, recognizable, and timeless rather than overly complex or trendy. This approach works particularly well for businesses that want to establish credibility, trust, and familiarity with their customers.
I typically use the design tools that provide the greatest value in the least amount of time. Because time and budget are often important considerations, I frequently incorporate AI into my design process. For many online applications and standard printed materials, AI-generated logos can be an efficient and cost-effective solution.
However, if a logo will be used for large-format applications—such as banners, signage, vehicle wraps, or billboards—it should be created as a vector graphic. Vector artwork can be scaled to virtually any size without losing quality, ensuring the logo remains sharp, professional, and suitable for all types of production and printing.
Samples
This logo was designed as a Vector logo mark for the Santa Clarita Valley Central Office of Alcoholics Anonymous. The goal was to create a fresh, modern identity while maintaining the visual elements and sense of familiarity that members have come to associate with Alcoholics Anonymous. It was important that the logo feel updated and professional without losing the recognition, trust, and connection that the organization has built within the recovery community over many years.
The final design balances a contemporary look with established AA symbolism, allowing it to appeal to both longtime members and newcomers while preserving the organization’s identity and purpose.
The AA Central Office Logo Mark symbolizes:
- Blue matches AA’s standard color, such as the Big Book cover
- The outer circle represents the entirety of Alcoholics Anonymous
- The equilateral triangle represents AA’s three legacies. Each flows from the other without an end or start
- The three legacies are represented as an equilateral triangle: Recovery (12 Steps) is the base from which all other sides can be built, Unity (12 Traditions) occupies one-third of the triangle, and Service (12 Concepts) completes the final third.
- The triangle’s three corners intersect the circle like compass points.
- The intertwined “A” letters in the center form an arch. We are building an arch through which we shall walk for free at last.

This logo was designed for NW Oregon Unity in Action, a political action committee (PAC) serving the Pacific Northwest. The “NW” serves as a recognizable regional identifier for Northwest Oregon, helping establish an immediate connection to the community it represents.
The logo was developed using AI as part of a rapid branding effort when I was engaged to create the organization’s website and discovered that no existing visual identity or logo had been established. The goal was to create a professional, recognizable mark that could be implemented quickly while conveying strength, unity, and civic engagement.
The design incorporates red and blue, colors commonly associated with the American political landscape, symbolizing dialogue, participation, and representation. At the center is a stylized blue mountain representing Mount Hood, the iconic landmark visible throughout much of the Portland metropolitan area and a powerful symbol of the region’s identity.
A bold, authoritative typeface was selected to communicate seriousness, stability, and purpose—qualities that align well with a political action committee. The result is a clean, memorable logo that reflects both the organization’s mission and its connection to the Pacific Northwest.
This logo was selected as the winning design in a competition for the Santa Clarita Valley AA Annual Convention. Each year the convention has a theme. The theme was "I Am Responsible." Created in vector format, the logo was designed to be highly versatile and scalable, allowing it to be used across a wide range of applications without any loss of quality.
The color palette features shades of blue and gray, conveying trust, stability, and professionalism while maintaining a welcoming and contemporary appearance. The design was developed to represent the spirit of fellowship and recovery that defines the annual convention.
Because it was created as vector artwork, the logo was easily adapted for both print and digital media. It was prominently featured on convention t-shirts, hoodies, flyers, programs, signage, promotional materials, and other event-related items. The flexibility and consistency of the design helped create a unified visual identity for the convention and contributed to a recognizable and memorable event brand.

This logo was created for Site4Success, my web design and digital marketing business. The initial concept was generated using AI, then refined and customized in Photoshop before being recreated as a vector graphic to ensure professional quality and scalability.
The logo combines several visual elements that reflect the company’s mission. The rocket symbolizes launching businesses toward greater success, while its upward trajectory forms an arrow that represents growth, momentum, and forward progress. The three green bars suggest business analytics, presentations, reports, and measurable results—reinforcing the idea that successful websites should help organizations grow and achieve their goals.
The color palette was carefully developed through multiple iterations. Blue was selected to convey trust, professionalism, and reliability, while green represents growth, success, and positive outcomes. Although I have always been drawn to blue and green as a color combination, numerous variations were explored before arriving at the final balance of colors used in the logo today.
The finished design is clean, modern, and versatile, working equally well across digital platforms, printed materials, signage, and promotional products. By converting the artwork to vector format, the logo can be scaled to any size while maintaining sharpness and visual consistency.
